RARA’s three Cs

RARA Factory is developing a new revolutionary method to create arbitrary "materials on demand" with the desired properties. The method is based on a patent-pending technology which greatly speeds up conventional AI methods, and on unique lab-based creation and characterization steps which improve the accuracy of the algorithm. The mission of RARA Factory is to realize human-made compounds which can replace any critical raw material, such as rare earths. The method is general and makes it possible to create tailor-made material alternative for virtually any industry and application.

The uniqueness of RARA Factory's approach to identifying new materials is its comprehensiveness in three stages:

  1. Compute: artificial intelligence optimized by an algorithm instructed by materials physics, up to 100 times faster than brute-force AI. Patent pending.

  2. Create: automated “high-throughput” development of new compounds based on low-cost and abundant elements.

  3. Characterize: immediate knowledge of relevant properties of new materials, thanks to innovative methods based on state-of-the-art laser technology, fast and automated.

Compute

We apply our proprietary algorithm to navigate the material space and extrapolate a map of material communities sharing similar desired properties and use deep learning techniques to extend the map with yet unknown compounds.

Create

We perform high-throughput synthesis of novel compounds. Only this way can we ensure the manufacturability of our findings.

Characterize

We characterize the relevant physical properties with state-of-the-art and proprietary techniques to validate successful discoveries and grow our proprietary database.
